Try Android On Your PC without Buying a Phone
Android is the growing Mobile Operating system listed in 10 Opensource Mobile Operating System. It is a part of Google Projects. Nowadays many smart phones are powered by this Android OS and the best part of it is its a free and Open source software. So if you want to try this latest technology without the android phone then its not impossible thing now. You can try Android free and easily using the Android Emulator. The Android Emulator is a great way to test Google Android on your Computer without actually buying an android phone or to test the newer version of android without actually updating in your Phone. Follow the tutorial below to make it actually happen.
After you click the ‘Install’ button, the setup starts downloading the main Installer.
Once the main installer is downloaded, the setup resumes again and gets completed within few minutes.
Since the folder is in .Zip format, So all you have to do is to unzip the folder and run the SDK Manager.
Now the Android SDk will check the Google for available packages.
Now the Package Installer will Open. You can choose the packages that you want to install and Click ‘Install’ to start installing Android Emulator on your PC.
By default, all the SDK platforms are selected which will take much longer time. So all you have to do is, Select only the version you want. Check the ‘Reject’ button for other entries which you don’t need to install.
Now the window will show the download and Installation progress. It depends upon the number of items you have selected and your internet speed.
Now enter the name of the Device and select the version of Android you want to Install. the list depends upon the number of packages you have selected to install from above.
On the same box, Select the size of the image file whcih android will use to save its settings and files. Also select the screen size from the skin options.
Now click the “Create AVD” button and your main process is finished.
The Installation will show the result in a popup window after its completed.
You have to choose the display size in the next step, Simply click the “Launch’ to open the Virtual Android in default size.
Now the Android will load in your Emulator showing lots of command prompts. The emulator consists of a screen and lots of virtual buttons on the right side of the emulator itself.
It will take few minutes to open for the first time, Later the boot screen looks like the android animation which looks like this.
Now the Android Home Screen will get displayed which looks exact like in the android phone. Use the mouse to control the Virtual device and Double-Click to run any application.

Installing Java
Your Computer should need Java to be Installed to make the Android Emulator run on your Windows PC. You can download Java free from the the website. After download Click the Java Installer and install it like other normal softwares.After you click the ‘Install’ button, the setup starts downloading the main Installer.

Install Android Emulator
